THE Guardia Civil has confirmed that the body found today (Monday) at midday in an area near to El Campillo in Huelva belongs to missing teacher Laura Luelmo. The 26-year-old teacher from Zamora in northern Spain disappeared last Wednesday and sparked a town-wide search, featuring 200 volunteers and the Guardia Civil. Laura’s body was found by a local resident around four kilometres outside of the town. Sources claim the body was discovered among some bushes and the circumstances of Laura’s death are currently being investigated. The volunteer that discovered the body was reportedly walking through the countryside, through a mountainous area where they came across Laura’s body. The Guardia Civil were notified moved quickly to cordon off the area and the body was then confirmed to that of Laura Luelmo. The search for clues has begun in the area as a specialist unit of the Guardia Civil are attempting to piece together how Ms. Luelmo died. Whether her death was accidental or suspicious remains to be seen. The case continues…
