THE Spanish navy has been criticised after one of its vessels allegedly followed a British submarine leaving Gibraltar.
A source told one publication a Spanish ship followed nuclear submarine HMS Talent as it left the Port of Gibraltar on Friday afternoon on a secret mission. The ship reportedly only backed off when a British Royal Navy vessel intervened.
Critics claim this breached maritime laws and, “is a clear sabre-rattling exercise in Madrid, which flexes its muscles again over the disputed British enclave.”
