A SON, who allegedly assaulted his mother before threatening to kill her and locking her up, has been arrested.
The 20-year-old boy is accused of attacking the 45 year-old at their home in Picasso Avenue in Palma.
The woman was initially taken to the University Hospital of Son Espases for treatment and the suspect was taken into custody.
Both were later released.
Sources claim the suspect then called his mother and ‘threatened her with death’.
Later at home he is said to have locked her up, taken her keys and phone and assaulted her.
Hours earlier, National Police in Palma arrested a 45-year-old man and his partner, 23, for allegedly ‘assaulting each other in the presence of their three-year-old daughter’ at a property in Calle Tomas Rullan.
They reportedly argued over a mobile phone.
Sources claim the toddler was temporarily put in the care of her grandfather.
