Pedro Sanchez reassures UK nationals in Spain that they will maintain their current rights

PEDRO SANCHEZ, president of the Spanish government, sent a message of calm to the 300,000 Britons living in Spain.
Spain has Europe’s largest community of expatriate Britons, most of them on the Costas, and they are the biggest users of Spain’s state-funded health system amongst foreign residents.
Sanchez reassured them that the government was working on measures to ensure that British expatriates would maintain their current rights even if the UK crashes out of Europe with a hard Brexit and no deal.
These measures were nevertheless conditioned on Spanish nationals obtaining these same rights in Britain, the president added.
