A HIKER was dramatically rescued by helicopter after falling eight metres into a canyon at S’Almandra. Mallorcan fire fighters responded to an emergency call and treated the wounded man at the scene for a serious hip injury which prevented him from walking. The Guardia Civil then despatched a helicopter to stretcher the hiker from the location between Cuber and Lloseta, and transfer him to the Son Espases hospital.
