A body was found at Luna de Calahonda beach in Mijas (Malaga) at 8:15am this morning (Friday).

The Guardia Civil and Local Police were notified immediately and have confirmed that a washed-up corpse had been found.
Sources from the Government’s sub-delegation have stated that the body seems to correspond to a man who was wearing a life jacket when found.
Due to the current condition of the corpse, the cause of death is believed to be by drowning.
The autopsy is yet to be revealed.
According to the 112 Emergency Services, an investigation has been opened and further information is waiting to be received.
