FOUR people were injured and 50 had to be evacuated from their homes when a fire broke out on the third storey of a block of flats in Cuevas del Almanzora on Monday night. Fire fighters had to rescue one woman and a child trapped by smoke from a terrace. A 65-year old man who suffered burns and smoke inhalation and a 36-year old man received treatment at the Huercal-Overa hospital, and a woman in her twenties and a two-year child were treated for smoke inhalation at the Cuevas medical centre.
