RALLYING: Demonstrations are set to take place in Malaga Photo: Shutterstock
FEMINIST groups in Malaga City have organised protests for next Tuesday against proposed changes which they claim would weaken existing gender violence laws.
The Feminists in Andalucia group said the march would begin in the city’s Plaza de la Constitucion at 7pm.
It comes as the far-right Vox called on the conservative Partido Popular (PP) and the centrist Ciudadanos to change gender violence laws if they take power in Andalucia’s Junta. Vox claims the laws discriminate against male victims and men in general.
Feminists in Andalucia said: “The parties are shamefully using our rights as a bargaining chip and are denying the unquestionable reality of sexist violence.”
