BRITAIN’S Prime Minister looks set to remain in office after surviving a motion of no confidence this evening (Wednesday), a day after MPs rejected her Brexit deal.
Theresa May won the vote, tabled by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, by a margin of 325 to 306. It comes after her proposed Withdrawal Agreement was defeated in the Commons by a margin of 432 to 202, the biggest defeat for any government since 1924.
May said today that she would aim to present a new version of her Brexit deal within the week. The EU has repeatedly ruled out renegotiating the pact.
