KING FELIPE and Queen Letizia are set to make a state visit to Morocco from Wednesday February 13 to Thursday January 14, according to Spanish government sources.
The royals are set to take in Casablanca and the Moroccan capital of Rabat during their visit which officials are still in the process of planning.
The king and queen were meant to visit the country earlier but political issues including the ongoing push for independence in Cataluña postponed it. The last time the royals visited the country was in July 2014 as part of an international tour undertaken after the King’s coronation.
The King is due to take part in talks with Moroccan officials whilst in the country. He is set to be accompanied by Spanish government ministers including Foreign Minister Josep Borrell.
