A 20-year-old man of Spanish nationality has been arrested for allegedly breaking into an IT shop in Malaga dressed as a unicorn.

The offender allegedly managed to enter the establishment after breaking the shop window by using a box-like object while donning a hooded unicorn robe.

The modus operandi coincided with eight other complaints received last week for shop and vehicle thefts.

One of the shop managers reported the night time break-in after over a dozen mobiles were stolen and €700.

According to sources from the Provincial police station, the young man was arrested twice in the same week.

The first arrest was made by Malaga’s Local Police for burgling a physiotherapy and osteopathy clinic located in Calle Juan Cortes Street, where the offender was caught leaving the premises.

As reported by the Provincial police station, he went to court on January 13, but was released on charges.

The 20-year-old was arrested a day later by the National Police, this time at the offender’s home for presumably committing another five criminal acts in Malaga, including the IT shop.

The detainee attended court on January 17 and was again released on charges.
