VIDEO footage has been shared by a British couple, who were on holiday in Spain, of a thief breaking into their Range Rover and stealing valuables.
The couple, Rommy Jan and Gayner Nash, claim the thief took up to £1,300 in cash from their €120,000 4×4 whilst they were enjoying a day on the beach in Barcelona.
The footage, recorded in August on an in-car camera, shows a man circling their car, parked on the side of a road near a beach, before breaking the rear mirror with a sharp object.
Another car is also seen waiting next to the couple’s vehicle, in which the offender later jumps in to in order to escape the scene.
The pair claimed that Nash’s Prada bag and purse, containing the cash, was taken along with a Costco cooler bag containing cans of Red Bulls and a bottle of Smirnoff.
Jan told British press that he is saddened to think they ‘work very hard to achieve what we have’ adding that their trip of a life time was ruined.
He also said that he decided to share the video with the public with hopes of spreading awareness.
The couple said that they only got back a small amount of what was stolen when claiming on their travel insurance.
