A SPANISH supplier has found one the country’s largest ever truffles, weighing 750 grams.
The luxury food, labelled the ‘black diamond,’ of the restaurant industry, will be served up by the Goya Gallery restaurant in Valencia.
The truffle, which was found in the Abejuela area, between Valencia and Castellon province, was handed over to the restaurant’s owner Fernando Navarro.
Truffles normally retail for around €1,200 per kilo, however, experts believe this specimen could be worth more because it is rare to find one single truffle weighing so much.
