Mijas council recognises CLC World founder Roy Peires for contribution to local economy and society

MIJAS officials have praised a Costa del Sol resorts and hotels firm for its contribution to the local community in a meeting at the Town Hall.

Chairman and founder of CLC world Roy Peires met with Mayor Juan Carlos Maldonado, with the former signing the town’s Honour Book.

Councillors recognised him and the company for its contribution to local jobs, economic growth and society through its Fundacion CLC World charity.

Peires said: “I believe that we have to give back to the community and I’m happy to work with the people of Mijas.”

Maldonado said: “Peires is the most important businessperson in Mijas because of his understanding of our greatest economic asset, tourism.”
