Worker air-lifted to hospital after fall from roof in southern Spain

A 31-YEAR-OLD worker has been rushed to hospital by helicopter after falling nine-metres from a rooftop in Andalucia.

The accident happened today (Monday) in Rute in the province of Cordoba.

According to the emergency services, he was transferred to the Reina Sofia hospital.

Guardia Civil and Local Police officers and paramedics attended the scene.

Inspectors from the centre for the prevention of occupational hazards are investigating the circumstances of the fall.
