THE “Poseidón” hotel group has announced plans to build another new hotel in Benidorm, the ninth in the group’s chain in the town.
The new 25-floor hotel will rise up behind their hotel Poseidón Playa, and will offer 350 rooms to tourists at the ever increasingly popular destination.
Pere Joan Devesa, President of the chain since, 1995, said that the plans have already been submitted and an architect commissioned to design the hotel on the 10,000 square metre plot.
It is anticipated that construction will begin in 2021, with the hotel becoming fully operational in time for the 2023 season.
The “Poseidón” hotel group directly manages 1,700 hotel rooms and 2,500 beds in both the Valencia and Murcia regions and employs around 450 local people. It is estimated that the cost of this new hotel works out at around 100,000 euro per room, and comes despite insecurities in the market derived from Brexit fears.
