MUCH of Spain’s south coast is on a yellow alert for gusting winds and high coastal waters in a weather warning issued by the state Met Office, AEMET.
Today (Friday) there are yellow alerts in the Andalucian provinces of Almeria, Cadiz and Granada and the Canary Islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
On Saturday the yellow alerts for high coastal waters will be extended to Malaga and the Costa del Sol.
AEMET is forecasting gusts of 6 to 7 and wind speeds of up to 60 km/h with waves up to three metres between 6am and 8pm.
Widespread rain is expected on Monday, while the drop in temperatures is likely to see the snow level fall to 900-metres in Malaga province.
