NUKA is a labra doodle, a very friendly and lively dog. However, occasionally she likes a little extra attention, and this can manifest itself in various ways.

I have been a housesitter several times. Recently she has taken to inhabiting sofas. Another favourite trick was to bring her entire collection of tennis balls to my feet as an invitation to play. If you’re seated for just a few minutes in her favourite room you suddenly notice you are surrounded by an eclectic collection of preloved tennis balls, some fluffy some not so fluffy.

Not noticing her invitation to play can cause a little upset, or so her owners told me when I agreed to dog-sit for her.

The rules were simple. Play with me, or I’ll just keep bringing more balls to surround you. Being a housesitter and going to the pet’s home means I can adapt my time to their particular needs.

It’s great fun getting to know the dogs and cats in our network. Each one with their own peccadillos.
