One confirmed dead after car smashes off Costa del Sol toll road viaduct

ONE PERSON is reported to have died after a car plunged off an AP-7 toll road bridge between Estepona and Marbella this afternoon (Monday).

Emergency services were called to the scene after the accident at around 1pm near the Istan road.

A witness estimated that the car fell between 50 – 100-metres into the valley below.

Police and firefighters are at the scene.

Initial reports suggest the driver died at the scene.

It is not known if there were any other occupants in the car.
