MICHEL EUESDEN, CEO of the Euro Weekly News, wowed with a powerful and inspirational message at the Costa Women’s seventh International Women’s Day conference.

In a speech full of passion and positivity, and peppered with plenty of humour, Michel talked about her own very personal life journey, the highs and the lows.

Michel spoke of her roles as business leader and employer, but also as wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had everyone in stitches with her light-hearted take on what life can throw at women, everything from motherhood to the menopause.

More than anything, she talked about life’s challenges and our fears, and particularly her greatest personal challenge, a serious illness.

“Life can change in a moment,” Michel reminded the audience, but she also reassured them that we can overcome just about anything.

“We are not our mistakes,” she stressed, “We cannot go forward if we keep looking backwards.”

We are all, she told Costa Women, powerful, beautiful and magical, we should be proud of ourselves and proud of our lives.

One of the most emotional moments was when Michel presented a cheque for €1,000 to Knitted Knockers Costa del Sol president, Maria Bailey, telling her the Euro Weekly News is delighted and `proud to support the charity’s outstanding work, changing people’s lives and giving them hope.

Michel also presented Costa Women’s founder Ali Meehan with flowers on behalf of the EWN, media sponsors of the event.

Ali is, she said, “a lady who epitomizes why we are here today, who is our inspiration.”

“We have the power to overcome everything,” Michel said, wrapping up by getting the entire audience on their feet to Robbie Williams’ anthem, I Love My Life.
