NOT A BRIGHT SPARK!: Fire callout ends in drugs arrest

AN emergency callout to a house fire in Almeria, Andalucia ended with the arrest of a woman on drugs charges.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze in the Quemadero area of the city, but when they checked the property to make sure there was no-one requiring medical attention they found a room full of marijuana plants.

There were 91 plants in all, along with a whole bunch of equipment typical of indoor marijuana plantations.

Police also discovered an illegal connection to the power supply.
