Spain criticised for being only EU country that “voted against Israel and in favour of terror”

ISRAEL’S government has criticised Spain for supporting a UN report on Gaza.

One of the country’s spokesmen, Emmanuel Nahshon, told Spain: “Your vote is shameful and encourages terror.”

Spain had endorsed the UN’s findings on Israel’s response to demonstrations in Gaza beginning a year ago, which left 183 civilians dead.

 Nahshon took to Twitter to claim: “Spain was the only European country that voted against Israel and in favour of terror, supporting a biased report that aimed to harm Israel and its right to self-defense.”  Israeli officials are also said to have held talks with Spanish authorities behind the scenes to condemn the move.
