A 53-YEAR-OLD British tourist has died after being found floating in a hotel swimming pool in Spain in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
The 112 Canarias emergency services control centre said the man was found at a hotel in the municipality of La Oliva, Fuerteventura in Spain’s Canary Islands at 00.52am.
A call from the hotel reception was received saying that a person had been found floating in the swimming pool.
A life support ambulance, paramedics and police rushed to the scene but could not save the man.
Guardia Civil officers are investigating the circumstances of the man’s death.
