A METRO tram smashed into a vehicle on the Costa del Sol last night (Thursday) causing the car to roll ‘several’ times.
The accident happened on a crossing near the Hospital Clinico in Malaga city.
According to reports the car allegedly skipped a traffic light and suffered a heavy impact.
Witnesses said that the car flipped over several times before coming to a standstill on its side.
The elderly man had to be pulled out of the vehicle by other drivers but only suffered a few cuts and a light blow to the head.
The Local Police and medics arrived on the scene to assist the injured man and to control the traffic.
The Metro’s carriage was severely damaged on the outside, but the driver and passengers were not injured.
It is not the first incident that has happened at the crossing, with reports that drivers to do not respect the traffic lights.
