WEATHER ALERT: AEMET issues ORANGE and YELLOW warnings for parts of Spain, including coastlines

SPAIN’S Met Office has predicted yellow and orange weather for the next three days in different locations in Spain, including areas such as the Balearic Islands and some of the mainland’s coastline.

For Tuesday 23 (today) there are yellow warning alerts in place in:

Andalucia: Coast Granada and Almeria

Region of Murcia: Coast of Murcia

Balearics: Ibiza, Formentera, Mallorca and Menorca

Cataluña: Coast of Girona

Winds of force 7 originating from the southwest and three-metre waves have been predicted.

Yellow alerts have also been issued for Wednesday 24 (tomorrow):

Andalucia: Coast Granada and Almeria

Balearics: Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca

Cataluña: Northern Llleida and Girona

Aragon: Northern Huesca

Community of Navarra

La Rioja

Basque Country: Alava

Cantabria

Asturias

Galicia

Castilla y Leon: Leon, Palencia, Burgos, Soria, Segovia, Ávila, Salamanca and Zamora

Extremadura: Caceres and Badajoz

Castilla-La Mancha: Ciudad Real, Albacete, Guadalajara and Toledo

Madrid

Orange and yellow warning alerts have been issued for Thursday 25:

Yellow

Cataluña: Llleida and Girona

Aragon: Huesca

La Rioja

Basque Country: Alava

Cantabria

Castilla y Leon: Soria, Burgos, Leon and Zamora

Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara

Galicia: Pontevedra, Lugo and A Coruña

Orange

Galicia: Coast of Lugo and A Coruña
