WILD NIGHT: Man arrested after driving his car into the front of a club in Spain

POLICE have arrested a man accused of intentionally driving his car into the front of a club after being thrown out.

The 44-year-old man, who is reportedly a resident of Arenas, is said to have sustained minor injuries in the incident.

According to one publication, the man was with his cousin at a club in the La Pañoleta industrial estate in Velez-Malaga when bouncers allegedly asked the pair to leave at around 6am. After a fight reportedly broke out, the suspect is accused of going to his car and ramming it into the front of the club, allegedly leaving it badly damaged.

After officers arrived, they were able to identify the suspect, who reportedly admitted he had hit the building with his car because the bouncers had thrown him and his cousin out of the club. The man is also said to have accused the bouncers of hitting him.

Police carried out a breathalyser test and claim the man gave a result of 0.6 milligrams of alcohol per litre of air, more than double the amount allowed by law. The suspect was then taken by officers to a health centre in Velez-Malaga to be treated for minor cuts across various parts of his body reportedly caused by the crash.

Officers from the Local Police then handed the man over to the National Police who arrested him on suspicion of crimes against road safety as well as property damage.
