FIREFIGHTERS and Local Police officers have freed a child whose head became stuck between pillars at Sevilla City’s Plaza de España.
Andalucia’s Emergency Services said personnel were sent to the landmark after the boy became stuck yesterday afternoon (Saturday May 18).
Footage shared by Spanish media showed firefighters and Local Police officers crowded round the child while his head was trapped between the pillars.
Emergency services said the child was not injured but added he was taken to hospital for a routine examination.
The incident came ahead of a flag swearing ceremony in the Plaza de España today (Sunday May 19), with about 2,000 people taking part according to its organisers.
