Drug den discovered after violent argument between man and woman

A COUPLE in their twenties are under arrest for using a storeroom in Almeria city for selling and consuming drugs.

Police discovered the drug den in the Cortijo Grande area of the city after local residents reported a violent argument between a man and woman in the early hours of the morning. When officers arrived at the scene they discovered the woman had cut and seriously injured herself on the arm with a knife and needed medical attention. The patrol alerted the medical services who took her to Torrecardenas hospital.

In the meantime, officers followed the trail of blood left by the woman to the storeroom, where they found 56 plastic bags containing marijuana and 161 bags of hashish, as well as what looked like cocaine and two sets of scales.

The pair, identified as J.G.D.G and O.R., have been charged with crimes against public health.
