PICTURES have emerged on social media which appear to show a wild fire spreading up a mountain in the Mijas area of the Costa del Sol.
Photographs posted to a local Facebook group showed the fire near to houses. Comments suggested it broke out in the El Higueron area and that it may have begun in a timber yard.
Andalucia’s Plan INFOCA wild fire agency has declared that the fire has broken out. A fire engine and a helicopter have been dispatched to tackle the blaze.
