COIN local Carmelo Urbano has secured victory for the Sub-23 Andalucia Team after being proclaimed the new Spanish road race champion.

Urbano completed the 157.8-kilometre route ending in Lorca in Murcia today Saturday in four hours, three minutes and 31 seconds, 13 seconds ahead of second-placed Arturo Gravalos, and 25 seconds before Oier Ibarguren in third.

The cyclist is seen as one of the most important rising national cycling stars.
