Owl recovering from fence ordeal

GUARDIA Civil rescued a royal owl which had become trapped in the fencing.
The owl on a plot of land close to the road in La Molata in Albox, injuring one of its wings.
Agents had to carefully cut the fencing to release the bird without harming it.
The Guardia transferred the owl to the Recovery Centre for Endangered Species in Velez-Blanco. The owl was treated and was assessed whether it will be possible to release it back into the wild once it has recovered from its ordeal.
