Stars are out for Federer v Nadal Wimbledon semi-final

A STAR-studded crowd had been at Wimbledon today with the mouth-watering prospect of a Rafa Nadal v Roger Federer semi-final the main attraction.

Hugh Grant and Anna Eberstein, Jude Law, Pixie Lott, Declan Donnelly and David Beckham were the big names attracted by the battle of the giants.

Incredibly for the two tennis superstars it is the first time the duo have faced each other on the Wimbledon grass since 2008.

Back then Nadal caused a huge shock in one of the great matches when he overcame Federer in five sets to take the trophy.

This time the prize is a spot in the final against number one seed Novak Djokovic who beat Spanish newcomer Roberto Bautista Agut.

The four-time champion ended the run of Spanish No. 23 seed Bautista Agut 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 on Centre Court over two hours and 48 minutes for a place in his 25th Grand Slam championship title match.
