GIBRALTAR’S chief minister met with Britain’s prime minister and the two Conservative MPs looking to succeed her during a visit to London yesterday (Wednesday).
Fabian Picardo met with Theresa May in 10 Downing Street along with Gibraltar’s Deputy Chieft Minister Joseph Garcia.
They discussed Brexit and issues arising from Gilbratar’s seizure of the Iranian Grace 1 oil tanker which was destined for Syria in violation of international sanctions.

The Gibraltar officials thanked May for her commitment to the British enclave while the prime minister thanked them for their handling of Brexit, a Gibraltar government source said.
Picardo and Garcia then met with Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt and former office holder Boris Johnson. They discussed Brexit, the Grace 1 situation and their respective attitudes to Gibraltar issues.
