MOJACAR is staging a very special night under the stars. To mark the annual ‘Tears of Saint Lawrence‘ meteor shower the village will be illuminated by candlelight only this Thursday. Making Mojacar’s ‘Night of the Candles’ even more atmospheric the village will echo to the sounds of evocative music. From 10pm onwards there will be piano with Rosario Haro in Cueva Mariquita la Posa, reggae from Efecto Sur in Plaza Fronton, violin and guitar with Monica and friends in Plaza Flores, and saxophone from JuanMa Linde in Plaza del Caño. Shirin will be shimmying in Plaza Parterre with a performance of oriental dance. There will also be a procession through the streets with drums and torches. Up at the castle viewing point there will be telescopes for some serious star gazing.
