BORIS JOHNSON has become Britain’s prime minister after meeting with the Queen in Buckingham Palace this afternoon (Wednesday).
The former foreign secretary and winner of the Conservative leadership election was asked to form a government and take over from outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May.
It comes after Theresa May took her final Prime Ministers Questions earlier today and after Johnson’s victory in the leadership contest was announced yesterday (Tuesday).
Johnson is due to give a speech outside 10 Downing Street this afternoon.
