EVERY summer, the Cor de Calvia presents an opera at the Peguera Auditorium and this Saturday and Sunday it will be one of the most famous of the Gilbert and Sullivan compositions. 
HMS Pinafore or, The Lass That Loved a Sailor is a comic opera in two acts and for these performances, the libretto will be in Spanish. 
The plot takes place aboard the HMS Pinafore, a British warship where the captain’s daughter, Josephine, is in love with Ralph Rackstraw, a sailor but her father wants her to marry a British Admiral. 
Tickets for the shows which start at 8.30pm cost €12 in advance or €15 on each night.
