Body found in Gandia

LOCAL Police discovered the body of an 80-year-old woman in Gandia who had just left the Francesc de Borja hospital and was on her way to a shopping centre. 
The woman had decided to cross some abandoned plots to reach the shopping centre but on the way suffered a fall.  
The police began a search for the woman with the use of a drone but her body was eventually discovered by officers on foot according to sources from the Gandia council. The octogenarian left the hospital in Gandia at 1pm and her body was eventually discovered at 6.30pm the same day. 
It is reported that the woman’s body was transported to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Valencia for an autopsy to identify the cause of death. It is understood that the woman’s next of kin have been notified.
