12-year-old Valencian Melani Garcia has been chosen to represent Spain in the upcoming Eurovision Junior contest.
Garcia was tearful as she was told the news during an interview with presenter Julia Varela,on La 1’s morning television show As of Today.”
Going to Eurovision is a thing I’ve always dreamed of since I was little. I can’t believe it,” Melani said.
She will travel to Gliwice (Poland) on November 24 to compete in the contest, the first time Spain has been represented for 13 years.
Garcia is no stranger to the spotlight, she was recently crowned champion of TV talent show La Voz Kids on Telecinco in 2018 with an outstanding performance of ‘Nessun Dorma’.
Her TV success allowed her to release two songs,a version of Vivo Por Ella and adaptation of O Sole Mio. She is also been part of the musical ‘We Love Queen’ where she performs Queen’s operatic hit ‘Barcelona’.
