An 87-year-old man of British origin died on Sunday while hiking in Calblanque National Park in Las Cenizas after he reportedly passed out causing him to slide from the rocks into the sea.
According to sources, the man was suffering a cardiac arrest when the lifeguards pulled him out of the Cartagena bay. They reached the man promptly and got him ashore straight away but by the time he was on dry land and the team had tried to resuscitate him he was already dead.
