A building company in Huelva has designed a network of 80 houses that are made solely from plastic bricks.
The company has crafted these bricks so that they fit together perfectly, a technique reminiscent of the ancient Inca building style where stones were perfectly carved to fit into one another.
With only a hammer, 70 tonnes of plastic and a bit of savvy, the team working on the project fit these bricks together seamlessly with no cement and no nails to form eighty 45 square metre structurally sound edifices that will now act as homes for the workers of the company.
The houses are fitted with all the requirements that a modern family would need such as showers, toilets, kitchen etc. all made from a plastic base that fits together like a puzzle.
The Environmental Agency has praised the company for taking the initiative and creating such an innovative product, especially as it is also fire retardant during one of the hottest summers on record.
