The latest Sony Playstation is still at least a year from its official release, however one Swedish website has listed the gaming console for pre orders. Details are still thin on the ground about the new high tech gaming platform, with Sony remaining tight lipped about the release date, price tag and the majority of its specifications. Even its name hasn’t been confirmed yet but it is widely thought to be simply called the “PS5”.However MediaMarkt Sweden has listed the console on its website for the staggering price tag of 9999 Swedish Krona (€935.50).This is significantly higher than the previous PS4 which retailed at €450. It also claims to have obtained specs for the console, stating:“PlayStation 5 is rumoured to have third-generation AMD Ryzen processor and SSD storage. It is said to be backwards compatible with PS4 games. Pre-book today and secure PlayStation 5 upon release.”Whilst the Swedish website also states that everything written on its listing isn’t confirmed, Wall Street sources have said the new PS5 could be at a much higher price tag due to higher tariffs being placed on China from the US. Rumoured release date for the PS5 is said to be mid to late 2020.
