WATCH: Firefighters extinguish roadside blaze on Costa del Sol

FIREFIGHTERS have put out a blaze which engulfed a wooded hillside next to a road between Coin and Marbella yesterday (Wednesday).

Andalucia’s Plan INFOCA wildfire agency said the blaze left around one hectare scorched near Monda.

A total of 54 firefighters were sent to tackle the blaze along with four helicopters.

Pictures and videos posted by Plan INFOCA showed plumes of smoke covering the road while flames swept through trees and shrubbery next to it.
