TAGGED: Hire cars are being targeted by Arran. CREDIT: Facebook
AFTER allegedly using spray paint to graffiti slogans onto cars in Mallorca last week, a new video has now appeared on social media showing two Arran activists on bicycles targeting hire cars in Palma. The group, Arran, believe that this is a resistance against the amount of tourists on the island whilst others simply describe the acts as vandalism. The one minute video was posted by the Arran Group and tagged as ‘Palma, Països Catalans’ and shows two men breaking the windshield of a car, spraying paint onto the cars and slashing the tyres. It also features the logos of some car rental companies. The video was posted with the text “More than 100,000 cars of tourist accommodation on the island of Mallorca: saturation, un-sustainability, pollution and turning the city into a tourist sideboard. The youth is on the offensive!”
