Five detained in connection with alleged rape in Benidorm

A 20-YEAR-OLD Norwegian woman has reported being raped by five French teenagers aged between 18 and 19 in Benidorm, according the Guardia Civil in Altea.

The alleged victim claims she went with a friend of the same age to a holiday apartment where the group of French teens were staying, having first contacted the group via a social network platform arranging to meet up. The friend left the house, the other stayed and was allegedly sexually abused.

The young woman went to a health centre near Alfalfas del Pi after midnight and told the nurses that she had been assaulted. She was later transferred to Villajoyosa hospital where she reportedly received treatment and a medical examination was carried out.

The Guardia Civil were alerted by the health centre and after investigating the matter, went to the flat and arrested the suspects at 4am.
