Charity Event Credit: Alhaurin el Grande’s Frog and Toad
LOCALS in Alhaurin el Grande are putting the finishing touches on a surprise charity event for a ‘beautiful’ lady who has been unwell.
A line-up of acts and activities has been assembled for the event which takes place at The Frog and Toad on Saturday, August 17, from 4pm until late.
Organiser Dione Lockyer said: “This lady worked as a carer and also assisted in helping charities, and has had two strokes in the last six months.
“She had a recent operation where she had 50 per cent chance of survival. And 10 days after the operation she had her second stroke.
“She was rushed back to hospital last week with low haemoglobin and found out there were further complications. She came home on Tuesday but the movement on her left hand side isn’t good, so at present she needs 24-hour care.
“We want to raise money to help with her care so really hope we have a good turn out.”
