Ibiza residents enraged over 12 hour party boat

RESIDENTS of the island of Ibiza have been left fuming after a 12 hour DJ set turned a cruise liner into a non stop rave.

The Island council have been inundated with complaints from angry residents after the cruise liner started playing loud dance music from 12pm until the early hours of the morning.

The boat in question, the Norwegian Pearl, was hosting the ‘Big City Beats World Club Dome Cruise Edition’ where a live DJ set would be streamed from space to the cruise liner.

The set marked a landmark in sea and space history as it is the first of its kind as European Space Agency astronaut Luca Parmitano broadcast an eleven-minute set whilst in orbit directly to the vessel.

However the residents were less than impressed a the feat, complaining that the 12 hour long party caused excess noise and broke the strict maritime laws enforced on the port area of the island.

The city council received so many complaints they were handed over to the Port Authority who are expected to issue the vessel and organisers with a hefty fine.

According to Diario de Ibiza, the complaint was made early in the day but seemed to be ignored, with one claiming: “The music just kept on getting louder and more of a nuisance.”
