Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard out of La Liga opener

THE LEAGUES title contenders’ season has taken an early blow as star signing Eden Hazard has been ruled out of the seasons opener due to a thigh injury sustained in Fridays training session.

A spokesman from Real Madrid confirmed that the record signing will miss the first game of the season with an injury to his anterior tendon in his left thigh, but did not state how long the Belgium would be out for.

28 year old Hazard joined Real Madrid in June for a club record of €100 million from Chelsea is a record breaking off season for the club who have spent more than €300 million on new recruits.

Real Madrid will kick off their new campaign three players down after fellow winger Marco Asensio is sidelined due to a serious knee injury and Dani Carvajal is suspended.
