From Friday August 30th until Sunday 1st September -winds permitting -there will be an impressive display of multi-coloured kites adorning the azure Tarifian sky as the third and final competition of the Spanish Kiteboarding League takes to the water.
With this, Valdevaqueros closes their third consecutive year hosting the highest national kitesurfing competition. A competition highly regarded by Lucía Trujillo Llamas, the local councillor for tourism, acknowledging the positive influx of tourism to the area on such a special occasion. As Trujillo states: “The wind sports put Tarifa on the map, but it is our responsibility to facilitate this wave of interest in our municipality and to maintain the continuity.”
A guaranteed spectacular for kitesurf lovers this weekend in Valdevaqueros.
