U3A Vall de Pop members are in for a treat this year as group leader, David Rohl, who is one of the world’s highest profile Egyptologists, will be starting his lectures at the beginning of the Egyptology course for those who have been part of the Ancient Egypt course in the last couple of years.
The first lecture will be: ‘Seeing Through the Eye of Horus: Understanding the Landscape and Environment of Ancient Egypt’. He promises that there will be lots of interesting concepts to explore that hopefully will enable fans of Ancient World history to dig a little deeper into the philosophy and religion of the mysterious pharaohs.
The first meeting will be on Monday September 2 in Jalon Town Hall at 11 a.m. David’s lectures are always fascinating, and the pictures give a clear insight to the skills and beauty of the ancient Egyptian world.
