THE Spanish Met Office (Aemet) has put Malaga province on yellow alert for storms today (September 4) between noon and 9 pm.
Heavy rain and hail are forecast for the mountains around Ronda and the Grazalema natural park.
The coast is expected to miss the worst of the weather although there may be showers. Temperatures will remain high but there should be light coastal breezes.
Tomorrow, the skies will remain slightly cloudy, with morning low cloud intervals in the eastern part of Malaga province and the Straits of Gibraltar area.
Elsewhere in Spain the provinces of Badajoz and Caceres will be at risk of temperatures as high as 39º C and 36º C, respectively.
